DR06 — the Esse Werks Signature Monoblock, built with DR Forged.
The DR06 started as an in-house design exercise. We were building our E53 X5 shop truck for the Race Support series and wanted a face that didn't exist yet — so we kept drawing and revising until it was right. We took the concept to DR Forged, they accepted the challenge, and after a few more rounds together we had a wheel all of us were proud to put into production — drawn to look its best on the E53 and across the modern-classic BMWs.
The design
Our face, DR Forged's craft — designed around BMW proportions first, finished in-house. Built to order only; every set is machined and coated for the specific car.
Construction
A one-piece monoblock, 6-axis CNC-machined from a single forged 6061-T6 aluminum billet — the lightest, stiffest way to build a wheel this size. Set to BMW M-Sport brake clearance without spacers. Per-size weight 18–26 lb depending on diameter and width.
How it's built
Made to your BMW bolt pattern — 5x120 standard, other European patterns to order — with width and offset CNC-machined to your spec. 6–8 week lead time; every wheel is built to order. Staggered front/rear is the norm: configure the front, add to cart, then change width and offset and add the rear.
Finishes
40 finishes at no upcharge, applied in-house: gloss and matte Liquid Smoke, Transparent Gold, Transparent Charcoal, and more — custom colors quoted to spec. Available diameters 17"–22". The spec strip is your build sheet.
