Our design, DR Forged's press. The DR06 is the signature monoblock, drawn in our shop for the E53 X5 and the modern-classic BMWs that came up alongside it.

Why this face

Ten spokes in five pairs, every one raked the same direction, so the face carries a running twist standing still. Each spoke takes two fine grooves down its length that pick up a highlight and hold it as the wheel turns. The pairs diverge at the hub rather than forking mid-face, which is what keeps the center open and the windows long. Small teardrop cut-outs sit in the hub pad between the lug seats. Staggered is the standard way it goes out.

Will it fit your car

Cut to your car. In plain model terms: the E46 and E9x cars, the F30 and F32 3- and 4-series, the 2015–2020 M3 and M4, the 2019-up 3-series, the 2021-up M3 and M4, the current Z4, F-series MINI and the classic R53 and R56. BMW does not use one bolt pattern across that range — pick your car in the configurator above and the pattern and hub bore set themselves. Front M-Sport calipers clear with no spacer.

Buying it from us

This is the one wheel here we can talk about from the inside, because we drew it. DR Forged forges it to the same standard as the rest of their line, under a licensing agreement between the two shops. Practically you get what every DR Forged order here gets: we validate bolt pattern, offset, width and brake clearance against your car before it releases to production. Staggered sets are two line items: set the front, add it, then change width and offset and add the rear. We are in Boca Raton, Florida, and your set ships freight from here.

Frequently asked questions

What bolt pattern does my BMW need?
It depends on the car, and BMW is not consistent about it. E- and F-chassis BMWs run 5x120. G-chassis BMWs run 5x112 — that includes the 2021-up M3 and M4. F-series MINI is 5x112; classic R53 and R56 are 4x100. We confirm it against your car before anything is cut.

How long does a DR06 take to build?
Six to eight weeks. Every DR Forged wheel is machined to your bolt pattern, width and offset — there is no stock to pull from. The clock starts when we lock the spec sheet with you.

Will the DR06 clear my big brake kit?
It clears M-Sport front calipers with no spacer as standard. For an aftermarket big brake kit, send the kit make and model at intake and we check bridge height and spoke clearance before the order releases.

Same face, other constructions: the DR06-M 2-piece modular. Construction changes weight, fitment range and the look of the joint — not the drawing.

BUILD STORY

The wheel we drew

The DR06 came out of wanting a wheel that was ours, not a catalog pick with our name on it. We worked the design with DR Forged, the profile, the spoke section, and the width-and-offset envelope for the chassis we build most, until it did what we wanted on the car rather than just on a render. It is forged to the same standard as the rest of the DR Forged line, run as a one-piece monoblock, but the shape is the part we drew. This is the wheel we reach for when a build deserves something that did not exist before we made it.
WHY WE SHIP DR FORGED
We ship DR Forged because a forged monoblock holds its shape under load in a way a cast wheel does not. On a track-driven build the wheel is a suspension component, not trim, and the weight you take off each corner is weight the dampers and tires no longer have to fight. DR Forged lets us spec a real width-and-offset target for a given chassis instead of settling for whatever the catalog stocks. When a customer is past Stage 2 and the tires are doing more work than the factory wheel was designed for, this is the wheel we reach for.
