ABOUT HOW WE WORK
METHODOLOGY

How we tune. Step by step.

How we calibrate, in detail. Datalog requirements, the revision loop, what "verified" means in our shop, what we publish per chassis, and what we don't. Written for owners and builders who want to know what's happening to their car.

THE IDEA

We don't sell parts. We sell matched upgrades.

A tune is a recipe. The hardware your engine needs at a given stage, and the calibration written around it — repeatable across thousands of cars on the same chassis. That's how we think about every order. The work below explains the system.

THE LADDER

Stage 0 through Stage 4+, in plain English.

"Stage" isn't a marketing tier — it's the line between what your stock hardware can carry and what it can't. We won't quote a stage you don't need or sell a stage your parts can't run yet.

STAGE 0

Calibrated stock.

The factory map without the factory compromises — written for your fuel and your driving. No hardware change. The starting point if you're not sure where to begin.

STAGE 1

Pump gas, stock turbo, no supporting mods.

The most car you can pull out of stock hardware. Reversible. Bolt-ons are optional, not required. Stage 1 in depth →

STAGE 2 · MOST ORDERED

Bolt-ons + supporting hardware.

Downpipe, intercooler, charge path. The kit makes sure the parts and the tune ship aligned — one decision, one price. Stage 2 in depth →

STAGE 3

Built for the chart.

E85, upgraded fuel system, often a larger or hybrid turbo. Per-chassis build path, datalogged, documented. Stage 3 in depth →

STAGE 4+

Engine + drivetrain reaches its limit.

Built internals, methanol or port injection, transmission rated for the torque. Quoted per build, not per part. Talk to us about Stage 4+ →

A note on price. We never call out a discount — no "save 10%," no banners, no badges. The price you see is the price. When a kit costs less than the sum of its parts, the math is in the number; we don't put a sticker on it.

THE MODEL

Kit vs Bundle — the difference, in customer language.

Kit

A standing, pre-defined recipe — the same way we'd build it for any 230i, 330i, M340i, Cooper S, M3, or whatever your car is. Starts from stock and gets you to a stage. Hardware + calibration as one cart line, one price, one shipment.

Stage 2 Kit. Stage 3 Kit. Fueling Kit. Cooling Kit. Browse kits →

Bundle

A kit minus the parts you already own. When you already have the downpipe and want to add the intercooler + the tune, that's a custom bundle — not a kit. We subtract what's on your car and price the gap.

THE WORK

How we calibrate.

01

Logged.

Every tune ships only after we've read knock counts, fuel trims, MAF flow, boost target vs actual, and IAT under load on the car it was written for.

02

Verified.

In-shop dyno time on Stage 2 and Stage 3. Remote tunes get the same numeric review — just on your datalog instead of our Mustang.

03

Documented.

Every revision, hardware change, and fuel swap goes into your car's file against your VIN. The next person who opens it knows what's there.

04

Reversible.

Stock revert before a dealer appointment puts the ECU back to factory in five minutes. Re-flash after. No trace, no drama.

The long-form: why so many tuned cars still drive terribly →

WHERE TO NEXT

Pick a starting point.

If you know your car and you know the stage you want, the Path Finder gets you priced in two minutes. If you're still narrowing in, the tunes index has every chassis we calibrate. If you're at Stage 4+ or want to talk a custom build, write to us — we'll quote it.
