VRSF "Competition HD" front-mount intercooler for the B48 / B46 / B58 (F-chassis). A bar-and-plate core that replaces the OEM tube-and-fin intercooler, which is easily overwhelmed and heat-soaks on anything above stock boost.

Construction

High-density, dual-pass bar-and-plate core with CNC-machined plug-and-play fittings — compatible with any charge pipe on the market. Black powder-coat, hand-finished and pressure-tested. Replaces OEM part 17118741830.

Where it fits

Intercooler-side core of a Stage 2 build — we tune to the install. Charge piping not included; works with the OEM or any aftermarket pipe.

F-chassis 2016–2019 — 120i/M140i (F20/F21), 220i/230i/M240i (F22/F23), 320i/330i/340i (F30/F31), 420i/430i/440i (F32/F33/F36); B46/B48/B58. Confirm your chassis.

WHY WE SHIP VRSF
VRSF builds the downpipes, charge pipes, and intercoolers that make up the core bolt-on path for a lot of BMW builds, at a price that keeps the early stages accessible. The downpipes open up the exhaust restriction that limits a turbo engine, and the intercoolers add cooling margin over the factory unit. We ship VRSF because it is honest value hardware — it does the job a Stage 1 or Stage 2 car needs without asking the customer to overspend before they have committed to a direction. For a build getting started on bolt-ons, it is a sensible place to begin.
