Esse Werks HTOB Bearing & Face — the replaceable release bearing with the matched contact face for our Clutchmasters × Esse Werks hydraulic throwout bearing (twin-plate clutches only). Switching twin-plate clutches, or refreshing a worn release bearing? You don't replace the whole hydraulic assembly — order the bearing with the matching face and fit it to your existing HTOB.

Which clutch are you running?

Pick your twin-plate clutch above — the face is machined to match its diaphragm fingers. It's a required choice with nothing pre-selected, so identify the clutch you intend to run; the wrong face won't release properly. (Shape noted in italics for those who track it.)

Install

The bearing fits onto the Esse Werks / Clutchmasters HTOB piston — a hand fit, no bleeding of the hydraulic system. Off with the old bearing, on with the new.

Fitment

The release bearing + matched contact face for the Esse Werks HTOB (Getrag GS6-17BG — MINI F-series Cooper S & JCW), twin-plate clutches only. This is the bearing with its face — not the complete hydraulic assembly (integrated slave + lines + shims).

Made to match your clutch

We offer the bearing and face on their own so the Esse Werks HTOB is not tied to one clutch. Twin-disc setups differ in their clutch finger type, and the finger geometry is exactly what the bearing face indexes against, so a different clutch needs a different face. Selling the bearing and face as a separate component lets you run our hydraulic throwout bearing with another brand's twin-disc setup, with the face geometry matched to the fingers your clutch actually uses. It is what keeps the HTOB an option for your build rather than a single-clutch part.
