OBD-II 16-pin to RJ45 ENET (Ethernet) cable for bootmod3 flashing, datalogging, and coding. One end plugs into the car's 16-pin OBD-II port; the other into a laptop's Ethernet port (or a USB-to-Ethernet adapter). Required hardware for every BM3 license seat — without it, you can't flash a calibration to the ECU.

What this is

A purpose-built OBD-II to Ethernet (RJ45) cable carrying the BMW ENET protocol that bootmod3 (and BMW's own ISTA diagnostic software) uses to communicate with the ECU at flash speed. Esse Werks branded, sourced from a reliable supplier.

What you also need

A laptop with an Ethernet port (or a USB-to-Ethernet adapter — Apple's USB-C to Ethernet adapter works with this cable on Mac, similar adapters work on PC). The bootmod3 software is downloaded separately from PTF Tuning at protuningfreaks.com. Your BM3 license seat is purchased through PTF or via our calibration order intake.
