CSF top-mount charge-air cooler for the S55 — F80 M3, F82/F83 M4, F87 M2 Competition. This is the water-to-air charge cooler that sits atop the engine; CSF calls it the first cast-end-tank top-mount unit for the S55. It pairs with the front heat exchanger to control intake temps.

What CSF changes

A core about 60% larger than OEM with cast hot- and cold-side end tanks and internal air dividers, run as a dual-pass, cross-flow design with two-stage water cooling (the OEM unit is single-pass, vertical-flow). 3D-scanned for a drop-in fit, with OEM quick-connect water connections and sensor ports.

Finishes

Default is the Thermal Heat Dispersion coating — an emissivity coating that helps the part shed heat. Also available Raw, or in Esse Werks colors — Black, White, or Orange. Choose above.

The cores are engineered to factory fitment, so the upgrade goes in at the OEM locations without fabrication.
