What an ECU tune actually changes
Every modern BMW and MINI engine is run by its DME — calibration tables for boost targets, ignition timing, fueling, and torque limits. A custom ECU tune revises those tables for your exact car. We calibrate through bootmod3: flashed through the OBD port, fully reversible, documented at every revision.
Why do it in person
A mail-order file is built for a generic car. In the shop, we flash your car, then datalog it — knock activity, fuel trims, charge-air temps, boost behavior — and review the log before you leave. How we work walks through the full loop, revision by revision.
