Ordering 

For your convenience, use the Esse Werks site to order any product shown. Rest assured, Esse Werks has gone to great lengths to secure all transactions and transaction data. All personal information, such as address, phone number, and email addresses are kept confidential.

Order Payments

Esse Werks accepts Discover, MasterCard, Visa, American Express, JCB, UnionPay, Zelle, PayPal, and Bank Transfer payments.

International Order Payments

Esse Werks requires that all international orders be paid by Electronic Bank Wire Transfer OR PayPal before orders are shipped.

All bank transfers must include a $27-40 International Transaction Fee that covers bank handling surcharge as well as additional necessary documentation. All bank transfers must be made in US Dollars only. Wire transfer information is only given after an approved invoice is received from both parties: the purchaser, and Esse Werks.

All PayPal payments must include a 3.5-5% PayPal Fee that covers PayPal surcharge. PayPal invoices are only sent by Esse Werks sales representatives directly to the purchaser.

Return Procedure

New product return for refund or credit

If a product needs to be returned for a refund or credit on account, it must be in original sale condition.

All products returned must not have been installed, damaged, or used in any way. Any item returned must be sellable as "new condition." Returned items must be received by Esse Werks no later than 30 days of the original invoice. No return will be accepted without a RMA number (Return Authorization Number) on the outside of the package.  Cores must be returned in their original factory packaging for a full refund. 

Return of product must be approved prior to sending the product back and accompanied by a copy of your Credit Memo or your return cannot be processed AND WILL BE REFUSED. 

Returned parts must be unused and in their original packaging. A 20% restocking fee applies to all non-defective returns. NO RETURNS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER 30 DAYS FROM THE DATE OF THE SHIPMENT. Custom built or ordered products are NON RETURNABLE. Labor fees are NON REFUNDABLE.

PLEASE NOTE: All returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee. Absolutely no refund after 30 days of sales date on invoice.

Special Order Item Returns

Due to the nature of the auto parts business, we must decline all requests to return special order items. 

Esse Werks cannot provide returns or credits toward other merchandise or service for special order items. Deposits on Supercharger / Turbocharger kits are non refundable. 

No Returns Accepted on the Following Items:

  • Fuel Injectors

  • Brake Pads (where the box has been opened)

  • Engine bearings

  • Pistons (where box has been opened OR with custom specifications)

  • Custom Connecting Rods

  • Gaskets & Gasket Kits (where the box has been opened)

Defective Product Return Policy

Returned items will be inspected before a refund is issued. Many times, the warranty is provided by the manufacturer. To make a claim under this warranty, you must:

  • Make every attempt to determine that the problem is attributed to the Esse Werks product. Take all steps to ensure that the problem is not caused by:

    • Installation error

    • Misapplication

    • Modification

    • Abuse

    • Accident

An inspection fee will be charged for all products sent to Esse Werks for inspection and found to be in proper working order or malfunctioning due to causes other than manufacturing defects.

If the problem cannot be identified, obtain RMA # from Esse Werks. Retain the RMA # for reference.

Send the product freight and/or postage prepaid to the address provided with RMA.

Clearly, mark the RMA # on the outside of the package and the mailing label. PACKAGES WITHOUT THIS INFORMATION WILL BE RETURNED.
Include a copy of your original invoice showing:

  • A detailed description of the problem

  • A list of ALL modifications to the vehicle

  • Product part number

  • Date of purchase

  • The purchase price

  • Your name and address

  • Daytime phone number

  • Email Address

Esse Werks is not responsible for products returned to Esse Werks without a clearly marked RMA # and return address.

Shipping charges are not refundable.

Warranty & Policy

Esse Werks takes great efforts to only offer what we feel are the most reputable and highest quality parts in the BMW industry. As with all performance retailers, we do not offer any product warranty on products that are not our own. If you install a component and it does not work as advertised or doesn't last as long as it should, please contact Esse Werks first so we can either offer our assistance, or assist you in making contact with the manufacturer. If you have any questions about warranties on any particular item, please contact us by email before ordering.

Discontinued items

Esse Werks will contact the manufacturer in an attempt to offer a similar product. As the BMW world is highly specialized and often supported by smaller brands; if the manufacturer has ceased doing business we may not be able to offer any technical support or warranty for these products. The warranty does not apply and is void in any instance where: 

  • The product has been used in any competition / racing; sanctioned or unsanctioned

  • The product has been abused, misused, or improperly maintained 

  • Repairs have been made or attempted by others 

  • Repairs are required because of normal wear and tear 

  • Alterations have been attempted or made to the product 

  • The product is a consumable

  • The product has been in an accident or on a vehicle that has been damaged

This warranty is limited to repairs or replacement, without charge, of the product/part found to be defective, or at Esse Werks’s discretion; refund of the purchase price. This does not extend to claims for other losses or damages arising from the defect. If a part or a component from Esse Werks is found to be defective, this warranty shall apply only to the defective part or component and shall not require Esse Werks to repair, replace or refund the complete Esse Werks system/kit. In no event shall Esse Werks’s liability under this warranty exceed the purchase price of the original Esse Werks product.

This warranty does not include the cost of removal or reinstallation of the product. No person or representative is authorized to extend any warranties on behalf of Esse Werks for any liability (other than expressed herein) in connection with the sale of any Esse Werks product. 

Esse Werks disclaims any and all liability for any implied warranties, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a specific purpose. Under no circumstances shall Esse Werks be liable for any incidental, indirect, specific or consequential damages arising from purchaser's use of the product.

Pricing 

All prices shown are in US Dollars unless otherwise noted. Due to fluctuations in currency and rapidly increasing material costs, prices are subject to change without prior notice.

Price changes

This may happen at any time, including items going up from suppliers who have not yet reported these increase to us. In the event of a product cost change, we will contact you and ask how you would like to proceed.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Shipping & Handling charges are handled by the delivery provider and are subject to change at any time.

Price Matching

If you find a lower price, please be able to email us a link. Whenever possible, we will price match on the same item if it is in stock at the other retailers location. 

Wholesale and Volume Discounts

Engine Builds

Please be advised that all engine builds sold and performed by Esse Werks come without any warranty, express or implied. Customers are solely responsible for understanding and accepting the risks associated with engine modification.

Once the engine is in the customer's possession, any damage, malfunctions, or issues that may arise are the sole responsibility of the customer. Esse Werks shall not be held liable for any damages, expenses, or losses incurred as a result of engine or vehicle issues post-installation. Customers are strongly encouraged to exercise due diligence and care when operating vehicles with modified engines.

It is important to note that engine modifications and performance enhancements can have a significant impact on the overall performance and longevity of your vehicle. Customers should be aware of the potential consequences, including but not limited to increased wear and tear, reduced fuel efficiency, and the potential voiding of manufacturer warranties.

By engaging Esse Werks for engine builds, customers acknowledge and accept the terms of this disclaimer, and they understand that they assume all associated risks and responsibilities. It is recommended that customers consult with Esse Werks for further clarification and details about the services provided.

Shipping

Carrier Options 

Most orders received will be shipped within 24-48 business hours. Esse Werks currently uses UPS as our default shipping company for all domestic orders. With UPS, you can specify Next Day Air, 2nd Day Air, 3rd Day Air, or Ground. FedEx and USPS services are also available upon special request. 

For international orders, DHL or UPS will be used according to cost, so as to benefit the customer.

Shipping costs

Shipping costs will be calculated based on the actual weight of your order and carry a $5 material and handling fee.

Oversized Packages 

Orders weighing over 150 lbs cannot be shipped via UPS and therefore using a commercial trucking/transport carrier would become the default shipping method. If you need to be notified of Actual Shipping and Handling costs previous to shipping, please ask your sales rep or inform us by email while placing your order.

Insurance 

All orders shipped are fully insured, and normally require a handwritten signature at time of delivery.

Damaged Packaging

Customers are responsible for inspecting their complete order immediately upon receipt. If your product has been damaged during shipment, you must immediately notify us within 48 hours via email (sales@essewerks.com) and include pictures of the damage, including the original packaging. Do not throw away the box or packaging material or else a claim cannot be processed and therefore you will incur the loss. Extreme care goes into the handling and packaging of each Esse Werks product. All packages are shipped insured for invoice value. If a package appears to be damaged on arrival, report the damage to the driver immediately and have the driver acknowledge the damage as well. Ask the driver to note that the package is damaged. If product/s appear damaged after opening, contact the carrier immediately. Save all packaging as best as possible for a claim inspection.

Shipping Errors

In the case we ship you a product that is in error on part of Esse Werks, we will accept the incorrect item in return and provide you with the correct part if it is available from us. The item(s) will be shipped by UPS Ground domestic, or by our method of choice for international orders. If you wish to expedite this shipment, the customer is to pay the difference in cost for expedited service. If you wish the item dispatched before the incorrect item is received, we will place the value of the correct order on your balance until the incorrect item is returned to Esse Werks in resalable condition. Esse Werks will not honor this for any mis-ships due to customer error or website input errors.

ESSE WERKS COMPONENTS ARE SOLD AND INTENDED FOR OFF-ROAD USE AND MAY OR MAY NOT BE ROAD LEGAL, DEPENDING ON LOCAL JURISDICTION. IT IS NOT THE RESPONSIBILITY OF ESSE WERKS TO KNOW OR DISCLOSE THE NATURE OF THE LEGALITIES OF COMPONENTS FOR ANY AND ALL APPLICATIONS.

IN NO EVENT SHALL ESSE WERKS, IT'S OFFICERS, MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, REPRESENTATIVES, AND/OR VOLUNTEERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION: INCIDENTAL AND CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, PERSONAL INJURY/WRONGFUL DEATH, DEATH, OBLIGATIONS, CLAIMS, COSTS, AND EXPENSES, INCLUDING ATTORNEY’S FEES, LOST PROFITS, OR DEMANDS OF ANY KIND AND OF ANY NATURE WHATSOEVER) RESULTING FROM PARTICIPATION OR SPECTATING IN OR AROUND ANY VEHICLE USING PARTS FROM OR PREPARED BY ESSE WERKS. WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, AND WHETHER OR NOT ESSE WERKS HAS/HAD ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES OR DANGERS.
