Refund policy

New product return for refund or credit

If a product needs to be returned for a refund or credit on account, it must be in original sale condition.

All products returned must not have been installed, damaged, or used in any way. Any item returned must be sellable as "new condition." Returned items must be received by Esse Werks no later than 30 days of the original invoice. No return will be accepted without a RMA number (Return Authorization Number) on the outside of the package.  Cores must be returned in their original factory packaging for a full refund. 

Return of product must be approved prior to sending the product back and accompanied by a copy of your Credit Memo or your return cannot be processed AND WILL BE REFUSED. 

Returned parts must be unused and in their original packaging. A 20% restocking fee applies to all non-defective returns. NO RETURNS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER 30 DAYS FROM THE DATE OF THE SHIPMENT. Custom built or ordered products are NON RETURNABLE. Labor fees are NON REFUNDABLE.

PLEASE NOTE: All returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee. Absolutely no refund after 30 days of sales date on invoice.

Special Order Item Returns

Due to the nature of the auto parts business, we must decline all requests to return special order items. 

Esse Werks cannot provide returns or credits toward other merchandise or service for special order items. Deposits on Supercharger / Turbocharger kits are non refundable. 

No Returns Accepted on the Following Items:

  • Fuel Injectors

  • Brake Pads (where the box has been opened)

  • Engine bearings

  • Pistons (where box has been opened OR with custom specifications)

  • Custom Connecting Rods

  • Gaskets & Gasket Kits (where the box has been opened)

Defective Product Return Policy

Returned items will be inspected before a refund is issued. Many times, the warranty is provided by the manufacturer. To make a claim under this warranty, you must:

  • Make every attempt to determine that the problem is attributed to the Esse Werks  product. Take all steps to ensure that the problem is not caused by:

    • Installation error

    • Misapplication

    • Modification

    • Abuse

    • Accident

An inspection fee will be charged for all products sent to Esse Werks for inspection and found to be in proper working order or malfunctioning due to causes other than manufacturing defects.

  • If the problem cannot be identified, obtain RMA # from Esse Werks. Retain the RMA # for reference.

  • Send the product freight and/or postage prepaid to the address provided with RMA.

    Clearly, mark the RMA# on the outside of the package and the mailing label. PACKAGES WITHOUT THIS INFORMATION WILL BE RETURNED.
    Include a copy of your original invoice showing:

    • A detailed description of the problem

    • A list of ALL modifications to the vehicle

    • Product part number

    • Date of purchase

    • The purchase price

    • Your name and address

    • Daytime phone number

    • Email Address

Esse Werks is not responsible for products returned to  Esse Werks without a clearly marked RGA# and return address.

Shipping charges are not refundable.

Warranty & Policy

Esse Werks takes great efforts to only offer what we feel are the most reputable and highest quality parts in the BMW industry. As with all performance retailers, we do not offer any product warranty on products that are not our own. If you install a component and it does not work as advertised or doesn't last as long as it should, please contact Esse Werks first so we can either offer our assistance, or assist you in making contact with the manufacturer. If you have any questions about warranties on any particular item, please contact us by email before ordering.

Engine Builds

Please be advised that all engine builds sold and performed by Esse Werks come without any warranty, express or implied. Customers are solely responsible for understanding and accepting the risks associated with engine modification.

Once the engine is in the customer's possession, any damage, malfunctions, or issues that may arise are the sole responsibility of the customer. Esse Werks shall not be held liable for any damages, expenses, or losses incurred as a result of engine or vehicle issues post-installation. Customers are strongly encouraged to exercise due diligence and care when operating vehicles with modified engines.

It is important to note that engine modifications and performance enhancements can have a significant impact on the overall performance and longevity of your vehicle. Customers should be aware of the potential consequences, including but not limited to increased wear and tear, reduced fuel efficiency, and the potential voiding of manufacturer warranties.

By engaging Esse Werks for engine builds, customers acknowledge and accept the terms of this disclaimer, and they understand that they assume all associated risks and responsibilities. It is recommended that customers consult with Esse Werks for further clarification and details about the services provided.
